Her practice explores the intricate and emotional relationships people and their beloved objects, drawing inspiration from subcultures such as doll-keeping. By researching the loneliness epidemic and related psychological theories about object attachment issues, she explores how objects such as jewelry can serve as vessels for emotion, memory, and identity.

Caring for others is taking care of ourselves in a way. Individuals who are insecure often engage in doll play to cope with feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and sadness. Inspired by the experience of accessorizing my doll, I want to make work that shows a mutual care between the doll and its keeper. By incorporating elements of doll play and movable joints, the jewelry piece become more playful and interactive. Humans put jewelry on dolls in real life, but in my works, the doll is putting a pearl necklace onto its wearer. I reverse the interactions between both parties, and allow the wearer to be taken care of by the dolls, bringing the wearer a moment of unburdened joy.
